Ashtanga Yoga Apprenticeship
May 2027 – April 2028
Twelve months of practice, philosophy and inquiry.A select group of dedicated students.Online and in the room with us.
By application only
Kino and Tim invite a select group of dedicated Ashtangis to spend one full year studying, practicing and exploring the deeper dimensions of yoga with them.
This is an apprenticeship for students whose hearts yearn to embody Patañjali's eight limbs of yoga as guiding principles for living, with the Ashtanga method as the vehicle.
Over twelve months, we will share the knowledge and experience we have received from our teachers, studied through the classical texts, and embodied through decades of practice and teaching. Our approach is rooted in the teachings of Patañjali, Kapila's Sāṅkhya, and Śaṅkara's Bhagavad Gītā, as well as the living tradition of Ashtanga Yoga that we have been fortunate to study in India, including with K. Pattabhi Jois and R. Sharath Jois.
This is not simply a course of study. It is an opportunity to practice, inquire, and gradually embody the teachings through direct experience.
The focus is on the lived and applied experience of yoga: developing skill in asana and adjustments, understanding the vinyasa method, exploring yogic breathing, prāṇāyāma and meditation, studying the classical texts, approaching Sanskrit and chanting, teaching methodology, and the many ways the eight limbs can become relevant to everyday life.
Through conscious practice and action, we hope to cultivate the seeds of clarity, wisdom, compassion and devotion.

Teaching will take place through live and pre-recorded sessions, individual guidance, and mentorship circles throughout the year.
Across the twelve months, we will move through the different dimensions of the yoga tradition, continually bringing philosophy back into practice — and practice back into life.
You will receive direct teachings from Kino and Tim throughout the year, both online and in person. We will also introduce you to our teachers — yogis and scholars who have influenced our understanding — guest teaching select topics.
A detailed month-by-month curriculum, dates, fees and all other program information will be made available to those on the waitlist.
We Ask
How do we take what we learn on the mat and allow it to transform the way we live?
The waitlist hears first.
